Jazz has come back to Powhatan.
In their second year back from hiatus, the Jazz Band returns to the fore as
strong as ever. Their scheduled school events bring them first to the
seasonal fun of the
PHS Band & Chorus Winter Spectacular on Tuesday, December 12, 2006 (7:30 @
PHS). Come February, the real meat and potatoes of jazz come out in
the
Powhatan Evening of Jazz (Tues, Feb 13, PHS. Time TBA).
In addition to the scheduled school events, the jazz band will be booking
gigs locally throughout the year. Check back here for opportunities to
catch the Jazz Band at various events in Powhatan and the surrounding areas.
