About PWPE:
The Powhatan Winter Percussion Ensemble at Powhatan is a
dynamic ensemble made up of 8th through 12th grade percussionists
and interested wind and rhythm section students that travels and
competes locally in the Atlantic Indoor Association, as well as
nationally in Winter Guard International competitions. PWPE
has an admirable competitive record winning 6 AIA Scholastic Open Class Championships ('95, '96, '99, '00, '03,
2008)
as well as numerous WGI Regional finals appearances, achieving
Semi-Finalist status in WGI World Championships competition('00).
